Comments:
I haven't done my homework, but do you know if the AirPort Express works with third-party base stations?

You named your AirPort Express after the god of fertility and wine, huh? Interesting...
I'll pick up mine in the near future. Got bigger 17" fish to fry...

as of today there is a chance that the Airport Express will work with 3rd party devices but I can state for a fact that I cannot get the Airport Express to work with my Linksys BEFW11S4 (Wireless, 4-port router) out of the box.

Alright, very likely that I'm just an idiot, but i can't get this thing to work. i'm running os 10.2.8, so i realize i can't enjoy all of the device's functions, but that shouldn't effect airport express's ability to locate my network, right? I plugged the ethernet cord running from my cable modem into the airport express, plugged the airport express into my power strip. Brief green light, then nothing but flashing yellow. Help, please! What could the problem be? I didn't find the manual helpful at all...

After 3.5 months of total frustration with a BEFW11S4 and the Airport Express, and a ton of Google Searches, I GOT IT WORKING.
The trick 1) Throttle down as above to 1-2 MBPS, both control and data!
2) Broadcast SSID must be on. Why, I don't understand. But I turn it off, blinking yellow light. Turn it on, Voila!
Yeah!
