Apple On Intel?

I'm sure a lot of my friends are going to ask me what I think about the newest batch of Apple/Intel Rumors that are making the rounds this morning. I figured I'd preempt that by writing about it elsewhere. Your comments are welcome here, or there. Your call.

What if the new hardware is ready though? :)

I think the alternative theory -- that Apple licenses Intel to become a PPC fabricator -- is way more plausible.

Wellllllllll..... looks like there's plausible, and then there's Jobs. :)

Caught Jobs' presentation from Monday, yesterday via quicktime, and I must say he makes some convincing arguments about the need for transition. For me, the hardware has always been a small piece of the picture, when compared to the compelling GUI of the Mac OS. Give me Tiger on any mac, and I'm a happy camper. One of the greatest Jobs' moment from Monday was the revelation that OSX was created to run on Intel from the beginning, as Jobs' put it, "just in case!" Classic!
