Dear Flickr User..

Dear Flickr User Somesai

I know you love Tai Shan. I know he's the cutest, wutest little button panda on the whole surface of the world. I know you love flickr and consider it to be the bestest of the best, I do too, but please for the love of God stop tagging photos of the panda, or screenshots taken from the webcam, with the tag DC. I do not care for the panda. I think the panda would be tasty with a little orange sauce, fried with rice, shiitake mushrooms and green peppers, or maybe with a nice kung pao preparation, but I do not want to see your panda pics cluttering up the DC flickr feed.

kthnxbye.

Tom

Hah! That's a good one Robert. But yeah, I think Baby Panda would be way, way better than Old Panda for Kung Pao Panda, the old ones get too gamy.

Now we know the real reason they're going extinct: Tasty.

Yes, I'm going to hell.

I've been guilty of this too: tagging "dc" on every little thing as long as I snapped it within our borders, though I stopped doing it for self portraits and cat shots.

I would of appreciated if this was bought to my attention instead of the world. Why not send me a message directly? This is a common mistake lots of people make as flickr seperate your tags even if you type it in together. I wanted to put dc pandas as there are pandas in other zoo and it seperated my tag to dc. I did not realize this. One of the main attraction of the DC area does include the pandas so I can imagine lots of other people tagging it with dc as shown here:

http://flickr.com/photos/tags/dc/clusters/zoo-panda-nationalzoo/

However, I've changed my tag to dcpanda.
